Course Details

This course examines the unique issues faced by people exposed to someone else's trauma in their role as a helper. Learners will develop awareness of the impacts of vicarious traumatization, identifying when one may be experiencing it, and skills to support oneself and one's colleagues when working with people impacted by trauma. This course focuses on developing tools and strategies for self-care, positive coping strategies and increased resilience to burnout, stress and compassion fatigue.
